Materials for teachers
We are keen to share our passion for our research
We have been working with educationalists, teachers and local government, to develop and deliver activities and materials that can support teaching in the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.
We have developed the 'What research would you fund?' card game to explore not only the science but its impact on society. The game can be played by any number of students in teams of 4 or 5.
We would like to thank Miss Ellie Powell (MSc Student in School of Biological Sciences, who did all the hard work), Mrs Kate Andrews of SERCC (for her guidance and advice), Mr Graham Russell (for his lovely artwork) and to the UK Research Councils and the University of Edinburgh who have help to fund the project.
