Access to healthcare

Information for EU staff on accessing healthcare insurance whilst in the UK.

EEA nationals who have pre-settled or settled status through the EU Settlement Scheme will continue to be able to access the NHS free of charge as they have done previously.

EEA nationals who are not eligible for the EU Settlement Scheme will need to apply for a visa to live and work in the UK.  An NHS charge is payable as part of the visa process which enables access to healthcare.
