Erasmus+ Staff Mobility

Information for both outbound and inbound staff involved with the Erasmus+ programme.

(Updated 26 January 2021)

The UK government’s decision not to participate in the new Erasmus+ programme does not affect the UK’s participation in the current Erasmus+ programme (2014 – 2020). The University of Edinburgh has been granted an extension to its 2020 projects which will enable us to continue to send and receive staff during the 2021/22 and 2022/23 academic years.

It is currently not clear what funding will be available for staff opportunities after 2023 but more information will be provided in due course.

Outbound

University of Edinburgh staff will continue to be eligible for Erasmus+ funding to support Go Abroad for Staff teaching and training visits. Staff will have access to Erasmus+ funds for mobility to Europe until 31 May 2023, and to non-European partners via the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme until 31 July 2023.

Inbound

Staff will continue to be able to visit the University of Edinburgh through the Erasmus+ programme as long as their home institution and home country National Agency are willing to support the mobility.

Please check with your home institution before making any commitments.
