Information Services

1 to 1 support for literature searching and systematic reviews

Information on arranging a 1 to 1 session for guidance on literature searching or systematic reviews.

Academic Support Librarians can provide one-to-one consultations to help you to research more effectively, by enhancing your knowledge of library resources and helping you develop effective search strategies and reference management software skills.

Literature searching:

30 minute session to help you make the most of the library resources and tools for your literature search

Systematic review:

Your Academic Support Librarian can offer advice on developing a search strategy, using databases and information sources, and managing references in a systematic review.

In some cases Academic Support Librarians can join research teams to consult on searches but please note this is dependent on capacity and is decided on a case-by-case basis. We are not able to carry out searches for any assessed pieces of university work.

Arranging a session:

Due to current restrictions sessions are online only.

Appointments must be booked in advance and are dependent on the availability of Academic Support Librarians.

Arranging an appointment may take up to 2 weeks. To make an appointment, contact the Academic Support Librarian for your subject:
