These include an extensive collection of electronic journals and e-books, bibliographic databases, reference works and a wealth of digitised primary source material.

Our School’s Academic Support Librarian will be available to answer any queries about the online resources to which you will gain access as a student.

The A-Z of Library Databases also provides online access to a large number of digital databases, ranging from the Oxford Classical Dictionary and Loeb Classical Library Online to L’Année Philologique and the Online Egyptological Bibliography, which students find invaluable for their learning and research needs. The University Library also has its own subject guides for Archaeology and Classics students and participates in the SCONUL Access scheme and SHARES programme which give students access to borrow or use books and journals at other university libraries local to them which belong to the schemes.

You will learn how to make use of the online Library resources as part of the induction for new students, taking place at the beginning of the academic year.
