Global Academies at Buckingham Palace

GESA Director Professor Dave Reay joined other Global Academy representatives for an event at Buckingham Palace.

The University of Edinburgh Chancellor HRH, The Princess Royal hosted a dinner at Buckingham Palace at the end of  February in recognition of the University of Edinburgh's teaching, research and international partnerships for global impact. All Global Academies were represented, along with a number of external donors and collaborators. As a direct result of discussions at the event, GESA is now planning activities that will highlight the importance of polar environments, their history of exploration (such as that by William Spiers Bruce), and the challenges they face in the  21st century.
