Paul is a Deputy Programme Director on the MSc Clinical Management of Pain since 2012 and works as an osteopath and manager of a private multidisciplinary clinic in Edinburgh. He is currently studying for his postgraduate certificate in academic practice (PgCAP).

Paul has been working with people with a wide variety of musculoskeletal pain conditions for over thirty years. Over that time, he has seen the study of pain become a well-recognised and fascinating academic discipline. The older ‘bio-mechanical’ models of musculoskeletal pain have been overhauled as it has become apparent that pain conditions are a complex multidimensional experience unique to the individual person.

He is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, General Osteopathic Council and Back Care.
