About us

The Deanery of Clinical Sciences has a long held international research reputation.

In the most recent UK Research Assessment Exercise, Clinical Medicine was rated top out of 28 submissions in the whole UK

We also play an integral role in the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Where to find us

The majority of staff are at the Little France site which comprises The Chancellor’s Building, The Queen's Medical Research Institute and the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine, which have state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities and are adjacent to the new Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and the proposed biomedical research park, Edinburgh BioQuarter.

Other sites include the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Lauriston Building at Lauriston Place (where the Edinburgh Dental Institute is located), the Western General Hospital and Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
