Female Fertility in the Forces Study

Welcome to our Study

Few studies have investigated the reproductive health of women working in the UK emergency services (police, fire service, paramedics and armed forces) and no studies have compared outcome between the services, or to non-emergency care workers.

The Female Fertility in the Forces (F3) Study has been designed to investigate aspects of reproductive health of regular UK servicewomen, Metropolitan Police officers and their sisters (biological, step, half and adopted) for comparison, to look at the possible effects of occupation and job role.

The F3 study is a joint study between the UK’s Ministry of Defence, the University of Edinburgh and the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS).

Please take some time to explore this website and fill out the Women’s Health Survey https://surveys.mod.uk/index.php/743251?lang=en  if you are serving as a regular in the UK Armed Forces, are an officer in the MPS, or a sister of either. Please fill it out even if you do not have children, have never tried to have children, had no problems having children. Your responses will give valuable information to build a clearer picture about the reproductive health of each group.

Thank you
