AI Education
The School of Informatics provides a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, which graduate hundreds of AI students each year and include some of the largest cohorts of AI students in the UK.
Further relevant on-campus programmes that include elements of AI and data science are offered by a range of other Schools at the University.
The University hosts a set of major Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) in AI and related themes:
- Biomedical AI
- Data Science
- Mathematical Modelling, Analysis, and Computation
- Natural Language Processing
- Robotics and Autonomous Systems
- Satellite Data in Environmental Science
These Centres provide research training to large PhD cohorts and involve extensive collaboration with partner universities and industry partners.
The University offers a range of further AI courses, including for working professionals and the general public. Many of these are offered as part of the Data Skills Workforce Development short course portfolio, and the Data Science, Technology and Innovation Programme online part-time postgraduate programme coordinated by The Bayes Centre, or through MOOCs such as Data Ethics, AI, and Responsible Innovation.
