Keep your contact details up to date and ensure that you receive updates from us regarding alumni benefits, careers support and opportunities to stay involved with the life of the University.

The Alumni Portal

We’re currently upgrading our Alumni Portal to make it easier for you to update your contact information and preferences. This work is taking place over autumn and winter 2022. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Updates and changes

In the meantime, if you would like to make urgent changes or updates to the personal information that the University of Edinburgh holds for you, please email us at  with your full name, degree subject and year of graduation, along with the changes you require.

A member of the alumni team will process your request as soon as possible, although at this time there may be some delay in implementing changes.

Example changes

  • Change of name (preferred name or surname)
  • Change of gender pronoun
  • Change of mailing address
  • Change of email address
  • Change of employment information
  • Change of contact preferences (mailing or email opt in or out)

Your University Login

Your University Login provides access to various secure applications and resources at the University including access to Platform One, the University of Edinburgh's online community. Changes to the Alumni Portal will not affect your University Login and you can continue to use other secure services and resources during the maintenance period.
