Terms of reference
The Researcher Experience Committee (REC) was responsible, on behalf of Senatus, for postgraduate research degree training, higher degrees and provision for the training of other, early career researchers.
The Committee provided a forum to facilitate and encourage the development of appropriate strategy and also discuss and promote relevant developments, whether internally driven or externally indicated. It aimed to promote an outstanding student experience and vibrant research community across the University, through a proactive agenda supporting an environment that fosters and enables change.
Postgraduate research programmes, enhancing researcher experience, approving University postgraduate research policy and responding to surveys (like PRES) were within the Committee's remit. Task Groups were set up to look at specific issues when necessary.
