La Revue Écossaise is an independent publication that fosters connections between Francophone communities and Scotland. After the success of the first issue, Edinburgh alumna and editor of the magazine announces the second instalment of this project.

Assa Samake-Roman did her Erasmus exchange at the University of Edinburgh in 2010-2011. She is now a freelance journalist covering Scotland’s politics, culture, society and travel for Radio France Internationale, Le Figaro, Mediapart and Slate.fr. La Revue Écossaise is not your typical magazine. It is a unique publication that combines the depth of a book with the vibrancy of a magazine, offering readers an immersive and thought-provoking experience. Published twice a year, La Revue Écossaise stands out as the only French-language magazine in Scotland, providing a fresh and distinct perspective on this captivating nation.

With our upcoming second issue, titled "L'Écosse Laboratoire" (Scotland as a Laboratory), we invite readers to embark on a journey of exploration and discovery. In this issue, we aim to showcase Scotland's contributions to various fields, from science and technology to arts, culture and politics. We explore the ways in which Scotland has been at the forefront of groundbreaking research, pioneering advancements, and novel approaches to societal challenges.

As an independent publication, La Revue Écossaise is driven by a passionate team dedicated to producing high-quality content. We take pride in our commitment to slow journalism, allowing us to dive deep into each topic and present readers with a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of Scotland's evolving narrative.

Through La Revue Écossaise, we aim to foster connections between Francophone communities and Scotland, highlighting the shared values, interests, and aspirations that unite us. It is a platform for dialogue, exchange, and celebration of Scotland's rich heritage and forward-thinking ethos.

We are excited to share this second issue with our readers and invite them to join us in exploring Scotland as a laboratory of ideas. Together, let's uncover the untold stories, celebrate the innovators, and embrace the spirit of discovery that defines La Revue Écossaise.
