Cancer and Primary Care Research International Network

Ca-PRI Online Conference 2021

Ca-PRI 2021: Cancer and Primary Care: innovation and resilience in the era of COVID-19

The Cancer and Primary Care Research International Network (Ca-PRI) Executive is pleased to be hosting the Ca-PRI 2021 meeting, with support from the University of Edinburgh. This will be our 13th annual meeting, and the first to be held online.

Our Oxford colleagues had planned to host the Ca-PRI 2020 meeting, but as we all know the COVID-19 pandemic impacted these plans, as with so much else for our global community in 2020. We plan to hold Ca-PRI 2022 in Oxford. In the meantime we are delighted to be able to offer Ca-PRI 2021 as an online meeting that is very much open to our international community. We look forward to welcoming you.

9th and 10th June 2021 (timings to be confirmed)

Programme format

We will be adapting our usual Ca-PRI conference format to accommodate the constraints as well as the opportunities of an online conference. We are planning for a small number of invited keynote presentations, parallel sessions, and a series of lightning talks, as well as an online poster session (hosted here on the Ca-PRI website). As usual, there will be awards for best talks and an online poster competition and opportunities to network with colleagues.

Call for abstracts

Ca-PRI is an open, multidisciplinary network for researchers in primary cancer care and related areas. Ca-PRI was founded in 2008 and welcomes researchers from all disciplines related to research and development in the fields of cancer care in primary care. Ca-PRI seeks to promote greater international collaboration in primary care and cancer research, and the focus is on the role of primary care throughout the cancer journey from prevention through screening, diagnosis, treatment to end of life care.

We invite abstract submissions on any aspect of cancer and primary care. Given the challenges of COVID-19 and its impact across the continuum we anticipate many abstracts will be COVID-19 related, but we are not restricting abstracts to this topic. We invite abstracts from all international contexts.

  • Abstract submission is now open, and closes on 26 March 2021.
  • Abstracts will be reviewed by the Ca-PRI conference scientific committee.
  • The decision on your abstract will be communicated from 26 April 2021.
