Visiting student fees 2019-2020
Tuition fees for postgraduate research as a visiting student in 2019-2020.
You are a visiting postgraduate student if you:
- are registered on a postgraduate degree at another higher education institution
- plan to study or conduct research at the University of Edinburgh for a short period of time (for less than, or up to, one year)
Credit gained and/or research conducted at the University will transfer back to your home institution and may count towards your final qualification.
You will not graduate from the University of Edinburgh.
All visiting students who attend the University for more than two weeks will be registered on the University’s student record system.
Postgraduate research student fees
As a visiting research student you may need to pay an administrative fee depending on how long you plan to study at the University.
Fees for more than 12 weeks
If you are admitted for more than 12 weeks and up to and including twelve months, you will be charged:
- £730 (session 2019-2020)
Fees for less than 12 weeks
If you are admitted to the University for less than or up to 12 weeks you will not be liable for a tuition fee.
