Conrad Cardona talks about his experience of studying at Edinburgh and why he chose to study mathematics with us.
My student experience
"The best thing about the student life is being able to approach people from around the world, taking part in all kinds of societies and especially having my moral code as the only limit.
"One of the things I like most about studying in Edinburgh is ironically, the weather. After eighteen years under the hot sun, a bit of rain is always welcome. Also, the international feeling you can experience just by being around George Square or any University building is fantastic."
"The best thing about my programme are the interactive lectures in the School of Mathematics. We answer the lecturer’s questions with an app and if the results are not clear we discuss with the people around us. I also enjoy the opposite in the computer science courses, where independent learning is a key aspect.
"So far, my favourite course has been Proofs and Problem Solving. In this course we learn to love maths for the sake of maths: a very good introduction to all the basics needed for the following years."

"My programme is giving me what I was seeking, which is a better understanding of mathematics and applications of computer science."
