Financial Support

This means-tested fund supports students facing severe difficulty with essential living costs, emergency expenses, or commuting. While it cannot cover tuition fees or foreseeable costs, it provides a vital safety net to help you stabilise your situation and stay focused on your studies.

Participation Grant

Join a society or sports club with ease. Get up to £300 per semester for travel, equipment, or gym fees. Funds are first-come, first-served at the start of each term (one application per student per semester).

Access Edinburgh Scholarship

Receive up to £5,000 per year to support your studies and living costs. There is no separate application; eligibility is assessed automatically when you apply for your full maintenance loan and consent to share your data. Funds are paid in two instalments (October and January) and can be used flexibly for anything from course materials to extracurricular activities.
