Marshall Scholarships

Marshall Scholarships are available to finance young US citizens of high ability to study in the UK. The scholarships are tenable for two academic years (22 months), a limited number of one academic year scholarships are available, and cover tuition fees, a living allowance, some study expenses and fares to and from the US. Up to 40 scholarships are awarded annually.


Applicants must be US citizens who, by the time that they take up their scholarship must hold a first degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the US with a minimum GPA of 3.7.

Application Procedure

Applications are made in one of eight regions in the US. The deadline 1 October 2017.

The Application process for the 2018 Marshall Scholarship is now closed. The 2019 Application will be available in late spring 2019.
