The ambition for Curriculum Transformation:

A transformation of our educational offer to inspire and prepare students to thrive in an uncertain world and reach their full potential, ready to tackle society's greatest challenges and catalyse positive change. Empowering staff who educate and support students, building on our institutional strengths to make Edinburgh a better place to learn, teach and support education.

The primary focus of the Curriculum Transformation Project is to further enhance the educational impact of students’ time at Edinburgh and provide long lasting benefits for our students and graduates.

Core benefits

The proposed Curriculum Framework is focused on meeting the following core benefits:

  • Educational impact for students as defined by the Edinburgh Student Vision as the key driver, alongside
  • Positive student and staff experience impact (including, where this can be delivered, enabling benefits for enhancements to organisational design, systems and processes)
  • Strategic and operational benefits for the institution, including our social and economic impact, and
  • Improvements in our ability to update and refine our educational portfolio in response to new opportunities and evolving needs.
