Walking in Edinburgh

Edinburgh is a beautiful city to walk around.

There are many interesting buildings, streets, shops and green spaces to investigate on foot.

Walking is a cost effective, healthy and enjoyable way to get around Edinburgh.

The city has a number of traffic free green spaces such as Princes Street Gardens, The Meadows, Holyrood Park, and Calton Hill. Edinburgh even has its own mini-mountain in Holyrood Park - the famous Arthur's Seat.

Historic Scotland have produced this leaflet describing walks around Holyrood Park.
