Archery, cricket, lacrosse, shinty and sprint track facilities are also available at Peffermill.
Archery
Peffermill has a designated and marked area for archery practice during the summer. This area is primarily used for the purpose of Edinburgh University Archery Club. We also have the capacity to host outdoor Archey competitions.
Cricket
During the summer season, Peffermill has two cricket squares - one grass, one artificial surface - for use by the University and the community. Peffermill is home to Edinburgh University Cricket Club, intramural leagues and University of Edinburgh staff club.
Equipment
Users should provide all playing equipment, including stumps and balls. Your booking fee includes changing accommodation, showers, full-size pitch markings, goals, nets (as required), free on-site parking and access to in-house social facilities.

Lacrosse
Our flexible layout, meeting rooms and in situ equipment make it an ideal venue for lacrosse tournaments and squad gatherings. During the lacrosse season, Peffermill has a dedicated ladies' grass lacrosse pitch, with an adjacent training area as well as marked men's pitch. We can also provide an additional show pitch to support major tournaments.
Further training facilities are available on Peffermill's Allsport Astroturf pitch and the floodlit training track is available for running conditioning.

Shinty
Peffermill offers one grass shinty pitch for use by University mens' and womens' shinty clubs during the winter season. This is an ideal venue for training and competition. The floodlit training track is available for running conditioning.
Sprint track
Peffermill provides a 100 metre, nine-lane floodlit synthetic porous polymeric training track. Located between the two Astroturf pitches and protected by perimeter fencing, the training track area is available to users of the Astroturf pitches for warm-up and cool down purposes.
It can also be booked for discreet running based conditioning sessions and fitness testing on an individual or group basis. Access to the training track is offered to all Astroturf users for a 15-minute period before and after pitch booking.
Any person or group wishing to reserve the training track for a particular running-based session or fitness test can do so.
