Research Cultures Forum

A critical and confidential space to uncover, explore, advise, support and improve our research cultures at University of Edinburgh.

Our Research Cultures Forum was established in August 2023, with a defined membership including representatives from different Schools, Colleges, Departments and job roles.  In January 2026 we decided to open the Research Cultures Forum to membership by any interested staff member or student at the University of Edinburgh.  The link to join the teams channel is below, open meetings of the forum will be advertised regularly.

The Forum is a critical friend to the University in highlighting areas of difficulty or challenge for our research community that may need to be addressed by Research Strategy Group or other University management structures. It is also a resource for the University in accessing a broad range of views and inputs into activity that might impact on research cultures.
