View media transcript I would say one thing that kind of helped me was making sure that we dedicated a few hours each day for schoolwork, right? Like, you know, this is non-negotiable hours that have to go into school, especially because we both work full-time. It's a little bit harder at the beginning of the term where you don't have assignments yet. But just starting to be disciplined from the very beginning is what was helpful for me. And also, I think just putting in the work during the week made me feel like, you know, I can still have a balanced life. So that on the weekends, I can focus on doing other things outside of work and school because, you know, it's also hard for your life to just be "all I do is school and work". So, I try to use the mornings on the weekends to, like, you know, get some fresh mind work done and take the evenings off on weekends as the time to relax. One of my fellow students, she had small children, and we knew she had to get up early in the morning. And by early in the morning, I mean, three-thirty, four o'clock. And I'm not a morning person necessarily and I was like, "How does she do this for three years?" But that was her commitment because she said, "That's the only time I can learn! And then afterwards, I have to take care of my family and my children." Everybody has these challenges, and we all together work around it. We adjust the times for the meetings. It's all asynchronous anyway. Anyway, we have emails, we have WhatsApp. You can work this out. It's a commitment, and it's probably a harder commitment than maybe full-time study in the sense that you have existing demands on your time. And they won't go away. Even if the family is supportive and everything, you still have to balance it for yourself. You can't disappear from your family for three years. That's not a possibility. And so commit to yourself a time and make sure that you put the time in so that you can in the end say you did your best, whatever that means in your situation, that you don't have regrets about it.
