Complete your pre-arrival review

All new taught online students are encouraged to complete their Making Transitions Personal pre-arrival review to help you and us prepare for the coming year to make it the best it can be.

What you need to do

There is nothing to click on this page.

Before you start your studies, you will receive an email inviting you to complete your Making Transitions Personal pre-arrival review.

The only way to access the review is via the link in that email.

The email will be sent by your school to your University email address only.

When you complete it

The pre-arrival review opens on Tuesday 19 August and closes on Friday 19 September.

You can complete it at any time during this period using the link in your email.

Why you need to complete it

Starting university and having new experiences can feel exciting, challenging, and sometimes daunting. You may already have thoughts about what you want to get from the year ahead.

The pre-arrival review includes seven short questions and takes around 10–15 minutes to complete. Your responses help you reflect on your expectations and allow University staff to better support you during your studies.

How you access it

You do not access the review from this page.

To complete it:

  • Open the email sent to your University email address.
  • Click the link in that email.
  • Add your reflections and submit.

Your responses are saved to your student record so you can look back on them later. The University also uses anonymised responses to identify how best to support students.
