Pre-application information sessions
Events and information sessions are held each October/November for undergraduates planning to apply for exchange.
If you're interested in applying to go on exchange during the 2024/25 academic year, you are strongly encouraged to attend the following sessions to find out more about exchanges before you apply:

Go Abroad Fair 2023
This event will provide an opportunity for students to come together in person informally. Returning exchange students will be posted at tables to answer questions and chat about their experiences with fair attendees.

Pre-application information sessions
These sessions are aimed at 2nd year undergraduates. You will find out:
- the benefits of going on exchange
- how an exchange works
- our exchange destinations (and how to find out where you can go)
- the costs associated with going on exchange, and any available funding opportunities
- the application and selection procedure
- what research and preparation you should do before applying

FAQ sessions
These sessions will allow you to find out the answers to frequently asked questions regarding our exchanges, the application and selection process, costs and funding opportunities and more.
This year's FAQ sessions will run in-person and online on the following dates:

Regional sessions
Exchange regional sessions give returning students an opportunity to showcase their exchange experience, share top tips, and answer key questions from University of Edinburgh students looking to study abroad.
These are held virtually over MS Teams leading up to the in-person Go Abroad Fair event. They will be hosted by SWAY, but all of the content will be provided by our returning exchange students. Please register to attend using the links below.
