Health and safety

Teaching for the academic year starting in September 2022 will be in-person.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, we have returned to a predominantly in-person teaching model. Whether this may change will depend on any Covid-19 restrictions. The University follows the Scottish Government's Covid-19 guidelines and recommendations, and we work hard to ensure our buildings are accessible and safe.

Please familiarise yourself with the health and safety measures listed on the University's website, which will be in place when you arrive and must be followed whenever visiting the University's campuses. For more information, see the University’s latest Coronavirus updates.

You can visit the School’s building, and book in-person meetings with members of staff during the semester. Of course, you can also get in touch with your Student Adviser and all other School staff via online means (please see Our people for contact details). The MSc study labs in rooms 4.18 (BLUE Lab) and the basement of 30 Buccleuch Place are also open.

If you experience illness during your studies, it is important to inform your Student Adviser. We have a lot of support available to help keep you from falling behind on your studies.
