University Mental Health Day 2025

Events are taking place across the University to mark University Mental Health Day on 13 March. 

Events taking place on campus  

The Student Wellbeing Service and Active Lives are hosting events for students on Thursday 13 March.

Wilkie Building event, 12pm to 3pm

Meet staff from across the University’s wellbeing services and find out about mental health and wellbeing support available to you. There will also be free hot drinks and a bake sale. Simply drop in – no need to book.

Bristo Square event, 11:30am to 2pm 

Meet staff from Active Lives and SAMH, find out how to access University mental health and wellbeing support and take part in fun activities, including boccia and pickleball. Simply drop in – no need to book. 

Therapets sessions in the Chrystal Macmillan Building  

Three therapets sessions will be taking place at 1pm, 1:30pm and 2pm. Booking is required:

Social PrescribED Week 2025 

The Social PrescribED Week will kick off on University Mental Health Day (13 March) and wrap up on Social Prescribing Day (19 March). 

The week will offer a mix of online talks and on-campus taster sessions.

These events are free and open to all but registering is essential.

Edinburgh University Students' Association event: Beginners Yoga for University Mental Health Day

Incorporate mindfulness into your day through yoga. This session on 13 March is open to all students and will focus on breathwork and stretching exercises that can be done anywhere.
