Principal event open to all students

All students are invited to meet the University’s Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Mathieson, at an event in McEwan Hall.

The Principal’s Town Hall takes place from 6-8pm on Wednesday 28 March.

It is an opportunity for students to hear about their new Principal’s vision for the University and put their questions to him.

Event overview

Attendees will be welcomed by Students' Association President, Patrick Kilduff, and Bobi Archer, Vice-President Education. This will be followed by an address from Professor Peter Mathieson.              

There will then be an "In Conversation" section with the Students' Association Sabbatical Officers, before the floor is opened up for questions and discussion.

Questions can be asked on the night and/or submitted online prior to the event via the Eventbrite booking page or by emailing questions@eusa.ed.ac.uk.

Principal’s role

The Principal is responsible for the overall operation of the University.

Professor Mathieson took up his position at the University in February, following a tenure as Vice-Chancellor and President of Hong Kong University.
