Stress Awareness Month 2023

April is Stress Awareness Month and this year’s theme is Take Action. It aims to encourage everyone to take steps to create positive change for themselves and others.

The University offers a range of self-help tools and resources available to all staff to help manage stress and low mood.

Togetherall is an online support network, available 24/7, guided by trained professions. It is free of charge to University staff.

SilverCloud is a suite of online CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) programmes covering topics such as stress, anxiety, depression, and much more. It is free of charge to University staff.

Feeling Good app

The Feeling Good App contains a safe and effective programme that is widely used within the NHS in Edinburgh for increasing wellbeing and recovery from stress, worry and low mood. The app is free of charge to all University staff.

Sports and fitness facilities

Regular exercise is an effective way to help reduce stress and boost your mood. The University has a range of sports and fitness facilities that staff can access, with discounted gym membership.
