Update to HR policies - 1 March 2021
Updates have been made to disciplinary, grievance and capability policies and employment-related appeals.
Over the last year or so, the University has refreshed some of our HR policies to make sure they’re clear and up to date. We want to make sure staff are aware of these updated policies and know where to find them.
Our disciplinary, grievance and capability policies are the latest to be refreshed, as well as our employment-related appeals procedure.
The main changes are:
- All of them are written in a more accessible, consistent style so they are easier to understand.
- As always, our focus is on resolving grievances informally and in a timely way – with this in mind, we have introduced a three-month period for raising a grievance and additionally there is now a form for doing so.
- All three policies now incorporate an appeals procedure and the employment-related appeals procedure has been amended to reflect this.
