New training toolkits on offer to staff

The University is making it easier for all staff to get the development they need as and when they want it.

From September, improved access to resources, workshops and eLearning is available for all staff, focussing on personal development, management and leadership skills.

Online toolkits

Staff now have access to specific content through a range of toolkits. There will be 15 toolkits available initially, covering topics ranging from time management to coaching and influencing skills.

Toolkits and more information can be accessed at the links below.

Each toolkit provides links to between 6-8 different developmental resources:

Something to look at: an infographic or image

Something to watch: an online tutorial or video

Something to read: an article, summary or how to guide

Something to do: eLearning, self-assessment, task or reflection tool

Something to listen to: audio of an interview or an experts top tips

Regular workshops

In addition, there will be some separate but complementary workshops.

These will be highly focussed on enabling you to practise skills. Workshop topics include communication, time management, effective management conversations, thinking and acting strategically and influencing skills.

These workshops will be available on a more regular basis than in the past and dates will be released throughout the year.

We will monitor usage and feedback on both the toolkits and workshops to continually review the development available in the core offering.
