Staff are invited to snap up their free tickets to the world's oldest varsity match, which takes place at the BT Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday 26 September.

The annual rugby encounter between the universities of Edinburgh and St Andrews, first staged in the 1860s, will take place at Murrayfield for the first time in the fixture’s history. The University women's team will also take on their St Andrews opponents, kicking off at 5pm, before the men's game.

Tickets are free for those registering before Friday 18 September. Tickets will be available for £5.00 online from Saturday 19 September or at the turnstiles on the day.

St Andrews have won the men’s match during the past two seasons, staged at the ground of London Scottish FC, in Richmond, Surrey. In recent women's encounters, Edinburgh have been victorious.

This year’s move to Murrayfield will allow more spectators to enjoy the game in one of the world's finest rugby arenas.

Playing at the national stadium, one which can accommodate more than 67,000 spectators, will be an incredible experience. St Andrews have had a great couple of seasons, and have had the better of us in the past two years, but I am determined to bring that winning streak to an end and ensure an Edinburgh victory.
