More than 2,200 students who graduated in 2020 and 2021 will attend ceremonies at the McEwan Hall between Thursday 23 March and Thursday 30 March.
Special events
The March graduations are unique addition to the University’s annual winter and summer graduations. Only students who were unable to attend their original graduation ceremony due to the pandemic have been invited to attend these special events.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the majority of the University’s 2020 and 2021 graduation ceremonies were held online.
Around 19,000 students whose graduation ceremonies were cancelled were given the opportunity to attend a future in-person ceremony.
Previous graduates have since been invited back to events at Edinburgh Castle in July 2021 and subsequent in-person graduations at the McEwan Hall.
The pandemic prevented so many of our students from being able to celebrate their achievements with their family, friends and loved ones. I am delighted to welcome our graduates back to recognise the amazing accomplishments they have made during their time at the University of Edinburgh.
Professor Sir Peter Mathieson
Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Edinburgh
