Clubs and societies
There's a lot more to student life than just lectures and tutorials!
Societies and sports clubs are a big part of the student experience and can be a great way to enhance your social and academic life.
EUSA, which is the University's students' union organisation, supports over 300 societies, while Edinburgh University Sports Union has clubs for almost every sport imaginable.
There are also some societies with a specific focus on the medical profession. Here's just a small selection:

Community representation
There are many societies and groups providing a safe place and representation for self-identifying students of different communities.
BAME Medics Edinburgh. Society and open platform addressing BAME medical students’ experiences in Edinburgh Medical School.
Edinburgh University LGBT+ Medics. A social and safe community for LGBT+ medical students and allies at the University of Edinburgh.
Edinburgh University Medical Women’s Federation. A place for anyone interested in supporting women doctors and their patients.
Wellmed. A place for medical students to talk about their worries, share their stories and be part of a welcoming community.
