2. The Library Hall

The Library Hall contains most of the seats for readers.

As you enter the Library you will see the Photocopier Room straight ahead of you on the landing.

Photocopiers are card-operated and cards may be purchased from the Helpdesk.

When using photocopying services you should read and comply with the copyright guidance displayed above the photocopiers.

You can leave coats, bags and umbrellas here on the landing, but please remember to take all of your valuables with you.

The Library Hall was formerly a church, adapted for Library use when the Free High Church which worshipped here relocated in 1934.

Many of the original church furnishings remain, such as the ten stained glass windows, designed by Dr Douglas Strachan and donated by Miss Grace Warrack.
