Europe Day 2024

Europe Day is held every year on 9 May, marking the anniversary of the historic Schuman declaration, celebrating peace and unity in Europe.

Panel of senior University leaders including Prof Sir Peter Mathieson

To mark the day, and across the week, we celebrate the University of Edinburgh’s ongoing commitment to European values, its European links and continued opportunities for increased collaboration and exchange.

On Europe Day, events will focus on the University’s membership of the Una Europa Alliance which brings together 11 of Europe’s leading universities to create a truly inter-university and pan-European campus through innovative opportunities for both students and staff.
