Understanding your offer
Information for applicants with South African qualifications who have received a conditional offer
If you have received a conditional offer, then we require official evidence that you have met these conditions by 31st August in the academic year you applied, or within 10 days of their official publication, whichever is earliest. As results in your country are released earlier than results in the UK, you should update us as soon as you have your final grades.
Providing Certificates
We will require an official copy of your final NSC Matriculation results to confirm your place. If you have received a conditional offer and have now received your final results, please email us your official Statement of Results.
If you have received an unconditional offer, we require formal evidence of the grades listed in your application. Please email us a copy of your official UMALUSI certificate.

Please note that your application will be incomplete until we have received all the required certificates.
Updating your offer
We cannot update your offer until you have accepted the University of Edinburgh as your Firm or Insurance choice. This means that if you meet the conditions of your offer, we can only confirm your place once you have selected us as your Firm or Insurance UCAS choice.
If you decide to choose the University of Edinburgh, you should accept your offer on UCAS Track as soon as you have made this decision, and no later than the UCAS decision deadline that they will advise you about. Please email us if you have accepted your offer and have met your conditions so that we can update your offer.
