The award was one of 18 announced at a ceremony in London attended by 800 people and hosted by comedian Rob Brydon.

I am delighted we have been recognised by such an esteemed award. It is a great achievement on the part of every member of the team, and says much about the culture within the University that encourages and enables teams like ours to deliver services that support incredible work across the institution.

Judges' praise

The University's Communications and Marketing team received particular praise from the judging panel for raising Edinburgh’s international profile.

Edinburgh has a clearly designed marketing and communications objective of externalising its international image to attract students and boost its research portfolio. The strategy is comprehensive and integrative: from goals to strategy to result, absolutely outstanding.
