Comparator group recruitment for MRC-funded PRENCOG study (PREterm Neurodevelopment and COGnition: mechanisms and cause evidence)

Professor James Boardman is leading on an Medical Research Council funded study entitled, "PRENCOG study (PREterm Neurodevelopment and COGnition: mechanisms and cause evidence)"

His team are actively recruiting for a comparator group: women who give birth after 37 weeks.

Participation involves antenatal recruitment, umbilical cord blood and placenta sampling, questionnaires, and neonatal MRI brain.

 Prof Boardman’s team has created an animation to explain the study to people who are considering participation.

If you are pregnant, expect to deliver after 37 weeks of gestation, and would consider hearing more with a view to taking part in this research study, please get in touch with the PRENCOG research midwife Kirsty Paterson (kpaters8@ed.ac.uk) or James (James.boardman@ed.ac.uk).
