Potential travel disruption

We are aware that industrial action is due to disrupt national rail services on 5 November, and ScotRail services on 29 October, which may affect some journeys to the Open Day. Please check the National Rail Enquiries website for updates which might affect your journey.

National Rail travel news

Many Open Day talks are repeated in the afternoon and information desks are available until 4pm, with accommodation open to visit until 5pm.

Travelling between campuses

You can travel between our campuses on foot, using public transport or using our free shuttle bus service for some campuses.

Edinburgh offers lots of accommodation options, so you can choose to stay overnight and spend more time exploring the city.

Parking on our University campuses is only available to Open Day visitors with accessibility requirements who have arranged this with us in advance, so we strongly recommend using public transport where possible.

Left luggage

We are sorry that we are unable to store luggage for visitors on Open Days. You can find secure left luggage facilities at Edinburgh Waverley train station or Edinburgh bus station.
