Project Support Officer (CIR), Closing: 23 May 2024

The post will be part of the Baillie Gifford Pandemic Science Hub (PSH) (https://psh.ac.uk/) which was created with philanthropic support from Baillie Gifford and comprises scientists, professional services staff and students united with the common goal of using human genetics and experimental medicine to rapidly find and test the effects of drugs. This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Clinical Research Fellow (CIR), Closing 22 May 2024

Project Officer (IRR), Closing: 8 May 2024

We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Officer for the Fleming Fund Fellowship Schemes at the University of Edinburgh. The Fleming Fund Fellowships at the University of Edinburgh build knowledge and capacity in southern and east Africa to tackle the global challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). We are now looking for an experienced Project Officer to work with new fellows in Malawi and Kenya to support their fellowship activities, including delivery of online training, visits to Edinburgh for periods of training, in-country projects, and international travel.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow (CIR), Closing: 15 May 2024

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team working on microbial keratitis, as part of a UKRI Future Leader Fellowship funded research programme. We use an ecosystem approach spanning in vitro and ex vivo disease modelling, biomarker discovery through omics approaches from clinical samples, development and evaluation of novel and repurposed diagnostics and treatment strategies – targeting both the microbe and the host. We work across the bench to the clinic in our approaches. The work will be conducted in close collaboration with the Aravind Eye Care System, India, the largest eye care system globally and there will be scope for research exchanges.
