Data Management and Analysis for External Researchers

Data export and removal is accomplished using dropbox.

Data Management

Standard Operating Procedure

Any data produced within the facility is the responsibility of the user.  Please ensure that you have backed up your data appropriately.  However, inline with our SOP on data management, each month we do back up all fcs files produced on our workstations to our server.  Please view the individual instrument SOPs for more details.

We keep a maximum of 2 years data on our server.  Please let facility staff know if you have a problem with your own backup and need to access our server.

Data Removal

USB ports on our workstations have been restricted to minimise virus problems.  To remove your data, we use dropbox to transfer raw files.

Analysis

Facility Analysis Workstation

The facility has a bookable workstation available in lab C2.36.  The workstation runs both FACSDiva (v8.01) software and Flowjo (10.4.2).

Please ask staff for guides and tutorials on using these software packages.
