Background

Zhepeng completed my PhD entitled Fine mapping and identifying the mutation causing blue-green eggshell colour in the chicken and graduated from China Agricultural University in 2011. Subsequently he joined College of Animal Science and Technology of Northwest A&F University of China as Lecturer, and promoted to associate professor in 2016. During he worked at the Northwest A&F University he was responsible for teaching poultry production course to undergaduate students. Meanwhile he concentrated on research on molecular basis underlying duck blue egg phenotype and egg production of chickens. On August 2019 he started to study at the Roslin Institute as academic visitor. Although he enjoys all aspects of poultry genetics, Zhepeng is especially interested in mapping some functional mutations associated with growth rate and reproductive performance in domestic fowl.
