Nina Tomlin

Lecturer in Competency Based Veterinary Education

Background

After graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2006, I spent two years working in mixed practice before choosing to focus on small animal work. I completed my MSc at Sheffield Hallam University in 2013 before moving to Edinburgh to take up a veterinary nursing teaching post, dividing my time between Edinburgh Napier University and The College of Animal Welfare. I gained my Teaching Qualification in Further Education from the University of Dundee in 2017 and was awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in 2019. I now work within the Veterinary Medical Education Team at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies teaching professional and clinical skills, with an interest in mechanisms of student learning and assessment/feedback systems.
