Background
I graduated in 2006 with an upper second class BSc in Biology from Aberdeen University.
I joined the University of Edinburgh as a Research Technician in the Neurobiology Division of the Roslin Institute, under the supervision of professor Nora Hunter, in 2008. I continued in this post until March 2014 when I joined the Easter Bush Campus Health and Safety Team for six years.
In 2020 I joined the the School of Biological Sciences as the acting Health and Safety Manager, responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to ensure the highest standards of health and safety for staff and students in the School.
In 2021 I joined the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, where i represent the Institute of Genetics and Cancer, the Western General Hospital and the Royal Edinburgh Hospital as their Health and Safety Manager.
