Background
Maverick graduated from the Veterinary School at the University of Milan (Italy) in 2014. He then completed a rotating internship in a private small animal hospital and afterward he worked for the Emergency and Critical Care Unit and in the internal Clinical Pathology Laboratory. In 2016 he started a PhD at the Veterinary School of the University of Turin where he studied the diagnostic applications of flow cytometry in veterinary medicine. He also had an Externship period in the Cytology section at the University of Porto. In March 2020 he enrolled in the DVetMed program at the University of Edinburgh and started a Residency in Veterinary Clinical Pathology.
