Loni Loftus

Lecturer in Clinical Behaviour

Background

I have joined the Clinical Animal Behaviour team after lecturing and programme managing at other UK universities over the last ten years and a period of time as Head of Equine Operations at the RSPCA. I work part time at the University, spending my other working days running my animal behaviour consultancy practice working on veterinary referral seeing horses, cats, and dogs. I graduated from my undergraduate degree in Equine Science at Royal Agricultural University and went on to undertake my MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare at Newcastle University where I also undertake my PhD studying positive affective state in horses.  I also spend time on a variety of voluntary roles on editorial boards and as a director of the Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians.
