Background
Following a background of nursing and Clinical Data Management, I joined the University of Edinburgh Department of Clinical Neurosciences in 2001 as the Trial Manager for The Third International Stroke Trial (IST-3), the largest ever trial of thrombolytic therapy for acute ischaemic stroke.
