Background
Johanna graduated from the University of Munich in 2009 before completing a doctorate in Small Animal Cardiology in 2012. Following a rotating internship at the R(D)SVS, she worked for Vets Now in England for 1.5 years. In 2015, she moved to the US for an ECC internship at UC Davis followed by an ECC residency at the North Carolina State University. After successfully gaining her Diploma from the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, Johanna returned to the R(D)SVS as a lecturer in Emergency and Critical Care in November 2020. She enjoys all aspects of critical care and emergency medicine, but is particularly interested in coagulation disorders and trauma patients.
