Professional Internship in Small Animal Cardiopulmonary Medicine

Background

Iñaki graduated from the University of León (Spain) in 2013. He undertook a rotating internship at his home university, after which he moved to the UK to pursue a cardiology specialization. After working briefly in Norfolk, he moved to London where he worked for 2 years as a night veterinary surgeon, before joining Cambridge University to do a rotating internship at the Queen´s Veterinary School Hospital. During this time, he completed the Certificate in Advance Veterinary Practice - Veterinary Cardiology.

Iñaki joined the cardiopulmonary department earlier this year as a cardiopulmonary intern and is hoping to do a cardiology residency in the future. His main interests include management of arrhythmias, treatment of congestive heart failure and Boxer cardiomyopathy.

Outside of work, he enjoys practicing sports and dancing.
